Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Effective June 18, 2020

This document supplements the Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) of Synacor, Inc., and its affiliated companies, (collectively, “Synacor”). They are provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA”) and apply only to residents of California using websites made available by Synacor at,,, and (the “Sites”). Each capitalized term used, but not defined, in these disclosures shall have the meaning given to such term in the CCPA.

Consumer Choices and Opting Out

If you do not want Synacor to sell your personal information to receive contextually-based, interest-based or other personalized advertisements from Synacor or a third party with which it has a business relationship, you can disable such advertisements at the device and browser level. Please note that opting out solely from contextually-based, interest-based and other personalized advertisements will not prevent you from seeing all advertisements on the Sites. Rather, opting out will prevent Synacor and third parties with which Synacor has a business relationship from using your personal information to personalize advertisements to reflect your interests. You will continue to receive advertisements that are on the particular page being viewed.

Because Synacor’s tracking mechanisms operate at the device and browser level, to fully opt-out of targeted advertising across all of your devices, you will need to do so on each device and browser individually. Further, if you reset your browser by deleting cookies or clearing your cache, your opt-out preference will be lost and you will need to repeat the opt-out steps to restore an opt-out preference.

If your browsers are configured to reject cookies, your opt-out may not be effective, since Synacor identifies your choice to opt-out based on an opt-out cookie delivered to you by Synacor. In this case, you will need to confirm that your browser is configured properly in order for the opt-out to be effective. If you are using a Safari browser on iOS11 or MacOS High Sierra, you must first adjust your privacy and security settings to turn off both “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking” and “Block All Cookies,” and then return to these disclosures or the Policy to set your opt-out or opt-in preference.
